About
Glass Divas is an opera singer for hire in Melbourne, VIC.
A glass violin with LED lighting built into it, played alongside operatic vocals, both performers dressed in glass crystals. Glass Divas is a short feature piece rather than a full set, which is exactly the point: it works as an opener or an after dinner moment, and it looks spectacular once the lights hit the costumes. The repertoire is pops of opera, including Summertime, Brindisi and Nessun Dorma, performed to orchestral backing tracks. A tech rider is provided. A roving version is possible with a lighter headdress, since the opera singer's costume carries real weight. Public liability insurance is in place.

The show
This is a short feature piece, not a full set, and it's designed to land hard in a few minutes. A glass violin with LED lighting built into it, played against operatic vocals, both performers in glass crystals. Under stage lighting the costumes do something no photograph quite captures. The repertoire is the popular end of opera, Summertime, Brindisi, Nessun Dorma, sung to orchestral backing tracks. It works as an opener or as the moment after dinner when the room needs to look up.
Performance options
Alongside the feature performance there's a roving version, where the singer wears a smaller headdress instead of the full piece. That's a practical choice, not a lesser one. The opera costume carries real weight, so a lighter headdress is what makes moving through a room possible. Pick the roving option if you want the act circulating during a reception rather than holding a stage.
