Volere Music is a musical soloist for hire in Meridan Plains, QLD.
Tim Scholl performs as Volere, a solo acoustic act on the Sunshine Coast with twenty years of original and cover shows along the east coast behind him and a Bachelor of Contemporary Music from Southern Cross University. His influences run wide, Chuck Berry through Bill Withers, Metallica through Snarky Puppy, and the playing comes out somewhere between rock, jazz, R and B and pop. The stage name is a nod to Withers: Volere is Italian for will. Expect songs from every decade, including plenty you'd forgotten existed, and a Sunday session set that's a different beast from a late dance-floor one. Requests are welcome, and if it isn't on the list he'll often learn it by ear over the break. He can bring his own PA and lighting or use the venue's.
The show
Songs from every decade, and a decent number you'd forgotten you knew. Volere pitches the set at whatever the day actually is: a Sunday session that stays easy, or a night where people end up dancing. Requests are genuinely welcome. The playlist is long to start with, and if you ask for something that isn't on it, there's a good chance he'll listen to it during a break and work it out by ear before the next set.
On the day
Two options here, and either is fine by him. He can bring his own PA and lighting, which means the room needs nothing in it beforehand. Or he'll work with whatever your venue already has installed and use that instead. Just say which one applies when you enquire, so he knows what to load into the car.
Performance options
Bookings are built in 50 minute sets, and three of them makes a standard night. Volere can bring his own PA or run through the house system. Weddings, birthdays and Christmas parties are booked the same way as any other show. If there are particular songs you want that aren't already on his list, he can learn them ahead of the gig, whether that's one song or ten.
