Nullibi is a musical soloist for hire in Wollongong, NSW.

Paul McCarthy performs as Nullibi, and the whole thing is built live in front of you. Guitar, drums, bass, harmonica and vocals go down as loops on the spot, no pre-recorded tracks anywhere, and what comes out sounds like a full band. Classic rock, contemporary pop, indie folk and a country edge. The clever part is the request system: your crowd pulls up songs on their phones from a deep list of covers and originals, so the set writes itself as the night goes. Duo and full band versions are there if you want more bodies on stage. Wollongong based. Needs power, brings everything else.

The show

Everything is built in front of you. Paul lays down guitar, then drums, bass, harmonica and vocals, looping each part live until it sounds like a band is up there. No backing tracks anywhere. The material runs across classic rock, contemporary pop, indie folk and a bit of country, mixed with his own songs. The best bit is the requests: your guests pull up songs on their own phones from a long list, so the set gets written by the room as the night moves.

On the day

Power is genuinely all he needs. Everything else, instruments, looping gear, PA, arrives with him. That makes it an easy booking for a small room, a backyard or a venue that doesn't have its own audio setup.

Performance options

Start with the solo looping show, which already sounds fuller than one person should. Step up to the duo if you want another voice in the mix, or the full band version when the room is big enough and you want proper weight behind the dance floor. Same song list underneath, more bodies on stage.
