Monty has a low voice and a habit of surprising people with it, because the same set that starts soft will end up belting out pub rock. One acoustic guitar, and a song list that moves through rock and roll, pop, RnB, country, blues, soul, Celtic and folk without much ceremony between them. Modern hits sit alongside the anthems everyone already knows. The guitar playing is genuinely good. So is the between-song patter, which is dry and gets the room on side early. Perth based, and works as well in a pub as it does at a function.
