Lamees is a musical soloist for hire in Brisbane, QLD.
Fifteen years of solo work sits behind Lamees, most of it as a jazz singer at functions, with speciality numbers written into the set when an event calls for something particular. There's a Bachelor of Music behind the voice too, majoring in voice and piano, which shows up in the phrasing more than in any of the patter. Brisbane rooms on the list include the Lyric Theatre, the Brisbane Convention Centre, Stamford Plaza, the Brisbane Czechoslovakia Club and Parliament House. Backing vocal work has taken her further again: the Sydney Olympic Games ceremony, and world tours for Nana Mouskouri and Michael Crawford in 1998 and 2000.
