About
Josh Edwards is a musical soloist for hire in Brisbane, QLD.
Thirty years of gigs teaches you to read a room. Josh Edwards plays soft piano through dinner service, unplugged and upbeat for canapes, or turns it up for a busy bar. Singer, pianist and guitarist, with saxophone available for the songs that deserve it. The song list leans Australian and classic: Dumb Things, My Happiness, Weather With You, Better Man, Run to Paradise, plus Fleetwood Mac, Pearl Jam and Bob Dylan. Josh also DJs, with a full dance light show if you want the night to keep going. PA, mics, instruments and lighting all come along, along with break music for setup and pack down. All you need is power and somewhere covered. Brisbane based.
The show
Josh sings and plays piano and keys, and he arrives with the lot: PA, microphones, instruments and lighting. Break music is loaded and ready for the setup and pack down windows, so there's no silence topping and tailing the night. He also works as a DJ, with a full dance light show if you want the night to keep going after the live set. And the saxophone can be brought into the DJ show for the songs that earn it.
On the day
Power and an undercover spot to set up in. Josh will play outdoors happily enough, but he asks that you have a wet weather plan sorted before the day, because gear and rain don't mix and nobody wants to be making that call an hour out.
