About

Jo-1 is a musical soloist for hire in Sydney, NSW.

Jazz and soul run through this Sydney singer and songwriter's acoustic playing, with a Celtic thread underneath from her own heritage. Her original writing has been recognised at the 25th Australian National Songwriting Contest and at the Musicoz awards. Festival stages have included the Manly International Jazz Festival, the Darling Harbour Jazz and Blues Festival, the Norfolk Island Jazz Festival, the New Zealand International Jazz and Blues Festival, and Java Jazz in Jakarta. She books as a solo, a duo, a trio, a quartet or right up to eight pieces, and the styles stretch from jazz and easy listening through pop, R&B and classic hits. Weddings are familiar ground, built around what the couple actually wants rather than a fixed set.
