About
Jamie K Acoustic is a musical soloist for hire in Adelaide, SA.
Songs you already know, played on an acoustic guitar by someone who won't make a production of it. Jamie K covers Crowded House, Paul Kelly, Cold Chisel, Daryl Braithwaite, Jack Johnson, Oasis, Vance Joy and plenty more, and he shifts to fit the room. Chilled Sunday afternoon in the background, or a Friday night warm up with more push behind it. Weddings are his specialty, ceremony and reception, and he'll put together whichever combination suits. Ceremonies are usually played acoustically with no PA at all, which sounds lovely outdoors. Otherwise he needs power and about two metres square. Adelaide based, easy to deal with.
Watch
The show
Jamie K Acoustic reads the room and plays to it. Want him in the background on a slow Sunday afternoon, he'll stay there and let people talk over the top. Want a Friday night with a bit more push behind it, he'll lift the set to match. He's easy company either way, on stage and off it, which matters at a wedding more than people expect. The songs are ones you already know: Crowded House, Paul Kelly, Cold Chisel, Jack Johnson, Vance Joy. No production, no fuss, just a bloke and a guitar getting the tone right for your room.
On the day
Most bookings need two things from you: a 240 volt power point within reach, and roughly two metres by two of clear floor for Jamie K Acoustic to set up in. Wedding ceremonies are different. He'll usually play those acoustically with no PA at all, which sounds better outdoors and means nothing needs plugging in. Mention which one you're after when you enquire so the right gear comes along.
