Geoff Udy Entertainment is a musical soloist for hire in Geraldton, WA.
Thirty years on the road with working bands, then a decision to scale it all down to one person. Geoff Udy plays acoustic guitar over a stomp box for the mellow end of the night, and switches to electric with backing tracks when the room wants a full band sound. Bose PA gear, Maton and Fender guitars, and a songbook that runs from ABBA to The Angels. Geraldton is home base, and the diary takes in restaurant dinners, club nights, pub gigs, weddings, birthdays, corporate functions and mine sites. Weddings can take in ceremony background music, live reception entertainment, DJ music and MC duties, with a microphone on hand for the speeches. He needs a small covered area and power nearby, and brings the rest.

The show
Geoff turns up when he said he would and plays until people's legs hurt. The gear is Bose, the guitars are Maton and Fender, and none of that would matter except it means the sound holds up in a big room without turning harsh. The songbook covers a lot of ground and a lot of decades, so an older crowd and a younger one can both find something they know.
On the day
A small area with a roof over it, and power within reach. Sound and lighting are his own, so nothing else is needed from the venue. Worth checking the covered spot before the day if the function is outdoors, because Geraldton weather can turn.
Performance options
For weddings you can put together as much or as little as you need. Acoustic guitar for the ceremony while guests arrive and settle. Live music through the reception, acoustic or electric depending on the mood you're after. DJ music to keep the floor going between sets or after the band winds up. MC duties if you'd rather one person held the night together. And a microphone for the speeches, which is the thing people forget until the best man is shouting.
