YOK is a musical duo for hire in Sydney, NSW.
Brothers Charlie and Mitchell named this duo after their father, the one who got them into music in the first place. Two acoustic guitars, plus effects and a looper, which is how bass, lead and percussion parts end up in a sound that should only have two pairs of hands in it. The result has more range than most duos manage. Yok can build a wall of sound that gets a room jumping, then strip it back to a sing-along a few minutes later. The set covers rock and pop from several decades: Mr Brightside, Riptide, Everlong, Dreams, Teenage Dirtbag, Seven Nation Army, Watermelon Sugar. Both have years of gigs behind them. The standard booking is three sets across three hours, and they bring lighting and PA.
