About
Undercover is a musical duo for hire in Sydney, NSW.
A Sydney duo built for the shape of a whole night, not just one slot in it. Acoustic versions carry the drinks hour, then things lift into feel good classics and current chart songs once people are ready to move. Olivia Dean, Dua Lipa, Ed Sheeran, Harry Styles and Sabrina Carpenter all turn up somewhere in the repertoire. They bring the PA, foldback, up to four microphones for vocals and speeches, plus stage lighting and a playlist that keeps the room warm during breaks. Weddings, engagements, corporate functions, birthdays and pub or restaurant gigs are all regular work. Insured.
Watch
The show
A duo that plays the arc of a night rather than one slot in it. Early on it's acoustic and relaxed, the sort of thing that sits under conversation while people are still arriving and drinking. Later it turns into feel-good classics and current hits, and that's when people start singing. Reading which stage the room is at is the skill. Weddings, corporate functions and private celebrations all get the same treatment, with the balance shifted to suit.
On the day
Sound comes from them, not from you. That means two to three speakers, foldback monitors and stands, up to four microphones good enough for both singing and speeches, and stage lighting to give the performance area some atmosphere. There's a background playlist for the breaks so the room keeps its energy between sets. Amplifiers can run on battery or mains, so a reliable power source at the performance area is the one thing worth confirming with your venue.
