About

Two Gentle Men is a musical duo for hire in Melbourne, VIC.

A harmony duo out of Melbourne with decades of stages behind them, Two Gentle Men pair Charles Le'Toille's vocals with guitar and a repertoire that wanders from pop and rock to country, soul and Continental favourites. Charles has been singing since the early eighties. They've worked clubs, restaurants, weddings, corporate nights and private parties here and overseas, and the set moves to match the room: something soft over dinner, something with a lift once people are up. Tribute sets in the Sinatra, Dean Martin, Tom Jones and Engelbert Humperdinck mould are part of what they do, along with MC duties and celebration of life services. They hold a police check and a permit for work with older people. They need a stage that fits two players and gear.

The show

Two voices in harmony, which is the whole idea behind the name. Charles Le'Toille sings and plays bass, and Laurie Costabile covers guitar, piano and a handful of other instruments between them. Charles has been at it since the early eighties. The material moves through pop, rock, country and soul ballads, so a dinner set and a later set can sound like different nights. They've worked clubs, restaurants, corporate events, weddings and private functions, in Australia and overseas. The performance gets shaped around the mood of the room rather than run to a fixed list.

On the day

Not much. A stage or playing area big enough for two performers and their instruments and gear is really the only ask. Worth measuring it before you confirm, since a guitar, a keyboard and a bass take more floor than people picture.

Performance options

Six ways to book them. There's a general option for weddings, parties, clubs and functions, and a separate one shaped for corporate and public events. Retirement villages and aged care facilities have their own package, as do celebration of life services. The tribute shows are their own thing altogether, drawing on Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Tom Jones, Engelbert Humperdinck and Michael Bublé. And they'll take on master of ceremonies duties as a booking in its own right.
