About
Soul Play is a musical duo for hire in Perth, WA.
Two voices, a stack of acoustic guitars, and not much else. Soul Play work the Perth acoustic circuit as a duo, with Jon carrying the vocal side, big notes through to a light falsetto, and Justin covering acoustic guitar, twelve string and acoustic bass so no two songs sit in quite the same place. Thirteen years on the Perth scene sits behind Justin's playing. Where the room suits it, they add a percussive option, which keeps the laid back feel but gives the guitars something to lean on. Pubs, wine bars and restaurants, wineries and sundowners, social club functions, corporate nights and weddings. It's an intimate sound rather than a loud one, and they pitch it that way on purpose.
