About
SideBySound is a musical duo for hire in Mordialloc, VIC.
Two voices, two guitars, and a run of songs that starts in the 70s and keeps walking forward. SideBySound work out of Mordialloc on Melbourne's bay side, and the mix leans on rock, pop, soul and a little jazz. It suits the crowd that came for the songs they already know, and it suits the one that didn't. Weddings and functions are their regular ground, with sets built to move between decades rather than park in one. Acoustic, so the volume sits where you want it.

The show
Guests end up singing. That's the usual outcome with SideBySound, because the set is stacked with songs people learned the words to years ago, from the 70s through to whatever's current, carried by strong vocals over two guitars. The older crowd gets their era, the younger one gets theirs, and the soul and jazz colour in the playing keeps it from sounding like a jukebox. Somewhere in the night you'll hear a song you'd forgotten you loved.
