About
RnB Soul Train is a musical duo for hire in Albany, WA.
Roimata and Jessica Howell are a married duo from Albany, playing soul and R&B with acoustic guitar. Alongside the covers they write and perform their own material, drawn from lived experience, and they've built a discography that keeps growing. They've supported established artists and played a good number of festivals, so the professionalism is settled. The covers list is broad and reads like a room that stays happy: Ain't No Sunshine, Fast Car, Wicked Game, Dreams, Crazy, When Doves Cry, Folsom Prison Blues, London Still, Budapest, Dance Monkey. Give them power, a flat stable surface, room to move, and cover if the event is outdoors.

The show
Roimata and Jessica Howell are married, and it shows in how they sing together - two voices that already know where the other is going. They've supported established artists and worked a good number of festivals, so nothing on a function day rattles them. Expect soul and R&B over acoustic guitar, covers that keep a room happy alongside originals drawn from their own lives.
On the day
Reliable power near the performance area for the PA, and a flat, stable surface for the gear to sit on. They need enough room to move while playing, not just enough to stand in. Evening events want light they can see the instruments by, and if the venue is dark they'll bring a small lighting setup of their own. Outdoors, cover over the top of everything - sun, rain and wind are all bad news for electronics. Worth confirming the exact performance spot with your venue coordinator early, along with load-in times.
Performance options
Three set ups, all built on three hours of live acoustic soul and R&B. The smallest suits cocktail hour, a private dinner or a smaller wedding, and covers a basic PA and microphone, a setlist shaped to the event with room for your input, recorded music through the breaks, and set up and pack down. The middle option lifts the PA quality, adds basic lighting, mixes mellow and upbeat through the night, includes the first dance if you want one, and comes with a planning chat beforehand to lock in songs and running order. The top option runs a high end PA and professional lighting, wireless microphones for speeches and toasts, up to three special requests learned for the day, and a dedicated planning session that can include a live demo.
