About
Pluck & Strum is a musical duo for hire in Perth, WA.
Harp and guitar is an unusual pairing, and it works because the two instruments sit in different registers. The harp shimmers over the top, the guitar carries the warmth underneath. Pluck & Strum play classical through to contemporary, which means the ceremony and the canapes can come from the same duo. A harp is also a striking thing to have in a room, so there's a visual element you don't get from a background playlist. Corporate functions, galas and private events around Perth. They need one parking bay, a covered area if you're outdoors, and a PA if you want them amplified.

The show
Harp and guitar together, which is a pairing you rarely see and a striking one to have in the room. The harp brings presence, the guitar brings warmth, and the two settle into a sound that fills a space without shouting over the conversation in it. The duo dress to match the tone of the music. It works as much visually as musically, so it suits an event where the look of the room matters as much as what's coming out of the speakers.
On the day
Three things. One parking bay, close enough that a harp doesn't have to travel far. A covered performance area if you've placed them outdoors. And a PA if you want them amplified, though they'll play acoustically where the room allows it. Sort the parking early, it's the one that catches venues out.
