About
Mesmer is a musical duo for hire in Newcastle, NSW.
Vocals, percussion and guitar effects, layered live. Mesmer are a Newcastle duo who move between mellow and upbeat, working pop, jazz, funk and soul into the same set: At Last, Ain't No Sunshine, Crazy, Big Jet Plane, Dance the Night. They cover Lake Macquarie, the Central Coast, Port Stephens, the Hunter Valley and Sydney. The duo can grow, too, adding trumpet, sax, bass, drums or keys for a trio, four-piece or bigger. They bring their own sound gear and need power plus 45 to 60 minutes to set up.

On the day
Sound gear comes with the duo, so the venue does not need to supply a system. Two things are needed from your end: a power point they can reach, and the performance space free for 45 to 60 minutes before the first song. That window covers getting everything in, plugged in and checked. Worth pencilling into the running order early, because it is the one part that cannot be rushed.
