About
Lyndas Music Mix is a musical duo for hire in Port Macquarie, NSW.
Piano and guitar, songs you know without the ones every other act flogs to death. That's the pitch from this Port Macquarie outfit, and it's a fair one. They lean on Fleetwood Mac, Roy Orbison, Linda Ronstadt, Carly Simon, Elton John, Shania Twain, Glen Campbell, John Denver, Cold Chisel and Dragon, and they'll take requests if there's something you want to hear. Today's hits are on the table too. Three sets is the standard shape of the night. Usually a duo or a three piece, and a four piece can be arranged, which opens up Dire Straits, Queen, Santana, Eric Clapton, some seventies disco, and AC/DC or Bon Jovi if the room wants to dance. All they need is easy access to the venue to load in.
Watch
The show
Piano and guitar, and a set list that deliberately swerves the songs every other act in the area is playing. You'll still recognise most of it. That's the point. Some of it grooves, some of it rocks, and some of it just sits there quietly while people talk over their meal, which is exactly what you want early in the night. Three sets is the usual shape. Bring a request along and they'll have a go at it.
Performance options
Most bookings land as a duo or a three piece. Ask about the four piece and the material widens: Dire Straits, Queen, Santana and Eric Clapton come into range, along with seventies disco, blues, and the harder end of things like AC/DC and Bon Jovi for when the floor needs filling. So it's worth telling them upfront whether you want background music through dinner or a room on its feet by ten.
