About
JB and Me is a musical duo for hire in Melbourne, VIC.
Out of regional Victoria, JB and Me scale to whatever the room needs. Solo, duo, trio or full band, same chemistry either way. The song list is long and unashamedly familiar: Dreams, Mustang Sally, Valerie, Wagon Wheel, Blinding Lights, Teenage Dirtbag, Am I Ever Gonna See Your Face Again, plus John Farnham, Springsteen and Pat Benatar. Sixties through to whatever charted last year. They write and play originals too, where the gig suits it. Setup depends on the format and what the venue already has, so that gets sorted at quoting rather than guessed at.
The show
Sixties hits at one end, whatever's charting now at the other, and a long stretch of familiar songs in between. JB and Me come out of regional Victoria and the line-up bends to the room: one player, two, three, or the full band. The chemistry doesn't change with the size, which is the useful part. Expect a crowd that sings along without much prompting, and a set built for a wide age spread rather than one taste.
On the day
This one genuinely depends on the shape you book and what the venue already has on site. A solo set in a room with a house PA is a different job to a full band outdoors. So the practical side gets sorted when they quote, once they know the format, the space and the gear that's already there.
Performance options
Pick the size that suits the room. Solo, acoustic duo, trio, or the full band, all drawing on the same repertoire. They'll also play their own original material where the event suits it, so it's worth mentioning in your enquiry if that appeals.
