Jared & Dean is a musical duo for hire in Perth, WA.
Two blokes, a guitar and a loop station, and somehow it comes out sounding like a full band. Jared handles the looping, layering rhythm, bass, percussion and harmony parts live while he sings over the top, and he'll MC the room if you need someone steering the night. Dean has been doing this professionally for over 35 years, and it shows in the way he works a crowd with a song and a punchline in equal measure. The Perth duo swing between quiet acoustic sets, party music that fills a floor, and a proper musical comedy show. Setlist runs from Toto's Africa and The Kinks through Crowded House and Pete Murray to Shaboozey. They bring PA and lighting for most venues, and need about 3m x 2m and one power point.
The show

Dean has been at this professionally for more than 35 years and works the room with songs and punchlines in roughly equal measure. Together they'll do relaxed acoustic through dinner, party music that fills a floor, or a proper musical comedy show with games and audience banter. Sixties hits through to current material, rock, pop, country, pub favourites and their own songs. Jared will MC if you need someone steering the night.
On the day
Jared & Dean - Musical Comedy Duo need a performance space of about 3m by 2m and one standard 240V outlet. Outdoors, that area has to be level and sheltered. No chairs required. Allow roughly 45 minutes to an hour for them to set up before the start, and another half hour or so at the end for pack down, so build that into how you're timing the room. PA and lighting can be supplied for most venues if you don't have your own, worth raising when you book.
