About
Cosmic Duo is a musical duo for hire in Maitland, NSW.
CCR, Petty, Johnny Cash and The Black Keys sit at the heart of this set, alongside Dragon, Alan Jackson, the Eagles and a stack of older classics. Cosmic Duo are two mates on guitars playing rock, country and blues from the 60s through to the 2000s, all of it live with no backing tracks. Bad Moon Rising, Folsom Prison Blues, Mustang Sally, Eagle Rock: songs a crowd already knows by heart. They're based in Maitland, typically play three 50-minute sets, and will travel for pubs, parties and weddings further afield. It's a simple formula, and it works.

The show
Two blokes, two guitars, and songs the crowd already knows. Creedence, Tom Petty, Johnny Cash, The Black Keys, Dragon, Alan Jackson, the Eagles, plus a stack of older classics to keep feet moving. Bad Moon Rising, Folsom Prison Blues, Mustang Sally, Eagle Rock. All of it played live, no backing tracks propping anything up. It's rock, country and blues from the 60s through to the 2000s, which covers a lot of ground and most of the room.
Performance options
Three 50 minute sets is how a night usually runs, and that fills an evening at a pub, a party or a wedding. They're Maitland based and happy to travel well beyond it, including gigs over 100 kilometres and over 200 kilometres out. For the longer trips, accommodation for two needs to be sorted as part of the arrangement. Mention your distance from Maitland when you enquire and it gets factored in from the start.
