About
Chill Factor is a musical duo for hire in Port Macquarie, NSW.
Gabi and Tony play as Chill Factor out of Port Macquarie, and their repertoire runs past 200 songs. Aussie rock, 80s, pop, classic rock, 60s and 70s, country rock, blues, easy listening and new releases. The set list gets picked for the room, and the volume moves from whisper quiet background to full rock. Fleetwood Mac, INXS, Cold Chisel, Adele, Queen, Blondie, Divinyls, Paul Kelly, Beyonce and Jimmy Barnes all turn up in there. They also run themed nights: 80s retro with dress ups and best dressed awards, a 60s and 70s dance night, rock and roll, latin, or something you invent together. The gear packs down small, 2m by 1.6m and one standard power point will do. Fully insured.

The show
Gabi and Tony turn up on time and stay in touch in the lead-up, which sounds obvious and isn't always. On the night, the songs get chosen from a list of more than 200: Aussie rock, 80s, pop, classic rock, the 60s and 70s, country rock, blues, easy listening and new releases. Sound and lighting are professional and can be built around a theme. And the volume genuinely moves, from whisper-quiet background right up to full rock, so one booking covers dinner and dancing without you needing two acts.
On the day
The compact setup fits into 2m by 1.6m and sounds no different to the full-size version, which is handy when floor space is tight. Around 3m by 2m is the preferred footprint, or a stage of any size. Power is one standard 10 amp 240 volt outlet. Everything they own fits through a single standard doorway, so awkward access isn't a problem. Outdoors, they'll need cover, and they can provide it themselves if you let them know.
Performance options
Themed nights are the specialty. There's an 80s retro party with full dress ups and awards for best dressed and best dancer, a 60s and 70s dance night with a best couple award, and a Rock Out night of Aussie and international rock where dress ups are encouraged and Tony has been known to put on a wig. A rock and roll night keeps people dancing all evening with prizes on offer, and there's a latin night that moves from smooth to upbeat. Got a theme of your own in mind? Tell them and they'll build the night around it.
