About
Charlie and Fi is a musical duo for hire in Melbourne, VIC.
Charlie and Fi have been playing covers around Melbourne and further out for years, and they know their rooms: wine bars, pubs, RSLs and private functions, some regular, some one-off. The songs run from the 50s to now, and the list is full of the ones people actually sing along to. Flame Trees, Down Under, Eagle Rock, Dreams, Don't Dream It's Over, Black Velvet, Desperado, Footloose, Ain't Nobody. They can go fully acoustic, add quality backing tracks for a fuller sound, or mix the two. A trio is an option too. They bring their own PA and everything else. The approach is low fuss and it stays that way.

The show
No stress. That's genuinely how Charlie and Fi run a gig, and after years of wine bars, pubs, RSLs and private functions around Melbourne they've had plenty of chances to get it wrong and haven't. The songs are the ones people already know the words to: Flame Trees, Down Under, Eagle Rock, Dreams, Don't Dream It's Over, Black Velvet, Desperado, Footloose, Ain't Nobody. Fifties through to now. They can play it fully acoustic, use backing tracks for something bigger, or run a mix of both depending on what the room wants.
On the day
The PA is theirs, and so is everything plugged into it. Speakers, stands, leads, instruments, all of it travels with them. You don't need to hire sound in or borrow anything from another act on the bill, and there's no equipment list for your venue to work through. Space to play and power to run it is genuinely the whole ask.
