About
Acoustic Oz is a musical duo for hire in Geelong, VIC.
Brothers Jason and Steve Coghill have been playing in bands since the 80s, and Acoustic Oz is where all that Aussie rock experience ends up. Two guitars, two voices, and a songbook built on Cold Chisel, Australian Crawl, Midnight Oil, Paul Kelly, Crowded House and Powderfinger, the singalongs every crowd knows. Between them they've supported Renee Geyer, Joe Camilleri, Brian Cadd, Chocolate Starfish and Russell Morris. Jason also fronts The J Band around Geelong, the Bellarine and the Surf Coast. All they need on the night is a standard power point.
The show
This is the Australian songbook played for singing along to. Cold Chisel, Powderfinger, Icehouse, Paul Kelly, Hoodoo Gurus, INXS, Australian Crawl, James Reyne, Crowded House, Split Enz, Midnight Oil, Men At Work, Mondo Rock, Dragon, Goanna, Little River Band, Mental As Anything, Weddings Parties Anything and plenty more besides. Two guitars, two voices, and songs a room full of Australians already knows every word to. Which is the point of booking them. By the second set you'll hear the crowd louder than the PA.
On the day
A standard 240v power point, somewhere they can actually get to it. That's the sum of it. No stage required, no sound system to supply, no technical conversation to have beforehand.
