The Mask Family Roving Acts is a mime for hire in Brisbane, QLD.
The Lolly Pop Ladies wander through a crowd in full mask, pulling people into small playful games without a word spoken. It's mask theatre rather than a costume walkaround, performed by an ensemble of Australian physical theatre performers who work across events, festivals, nightclubs and corporate nights. Very visual, very interactive, and it tends to stop people mid conversation. Based in Brisbane and touring beyond Australia. Backstage needs are simple: a lockable dressing room with a mirror, water, a couple of tables and chairs, an hour to get in and half an hour to pack down. Fully insured.

The show
Five separate roving characters sit under this one banner, all mask theatre rather than costumed walkarounds. The Lolly Pop Ladies drift through a crowd starting playful games with whoever they meet. The English Bobbies work slapstick and improvisation in classic constable uniform, and double as a way of moving guests from one space to another. The Tourists are oversized, colourful and cheeky, and will carry your branding in a bum bag or on a shirt. The Tambourine Band play slightly out of tune with each other on purpose. Made To Measure are tailors from another century, forever chasing the perfect measurement. All of them are strong photo material, and all travel from Brisbane.
On the day
Backstage is where the work happens for a mask act, so they'll want a dressing room that locks, with a mirror, drinking water, two tables and three chairs in it. An hour is enough to get in and ready. Half an hour clears everything out again afterwards.
