About
Mermaid Magic is a mermaid costume character for hire in Adelaide, SA.
Mermaids and fairies, in Adelaide, for events where kids need something to look at. At a party that might mean storytelling, sing-alongs and a treasure hunt. At a community or family day, a mermaid settles into a giant sea shell or your existing pool and tells the little ones what life is like down there. Corporate bookings get the aquarium set-up and banter pitched at adults. Performers hold Working with Children Checks and police clearances. Two practical things: a secure dressing room away from curious eyes, and 24 hours of venue access if an aquarium is involved.
The show
It shifts depending on the crowd. At a kids' party you get storytelling, sing-alongs and a treasure hunt, with a mermaid at the middle of it holding a room full of small people. At a community or family day she'll settle into a giant sea shell, or into your own pool if you've got one, and answer questions about life under the water. Corporate bookings run differently again: the aquarium comes out and the banter is pitched at adults. Fairies work the same way.
On the day
Two things. The performers need a room they can get changed in with a door that shuts, well away from small eyes that would rather like to see how the tail works. And if you've booked an aquarium setup, they'll need into the venue a full day before the event, because that one takes real time to build.
