About
Amigos Mexicanos is a mariachi band for hire in Newcastle, NSW.
A converted electric golf cart gives Amigos Mexicanos a mobile stage. Dressed in mariachi costumes, the Newcastle group plays Mexican standards and music associated with the Tijuana Brass, taking the performance around events rather than remaining in one spot. Its repertoire includes Cielito Lindo and the Mexican Hat Dance. The format suits street fairs, sporting occasions and community celebrations, with the vehicle carrying the musicians between locations.
