About
Jon Madd is a magician for hire in Perth, WA.
Jon Madd is a Perth magician specialising in close-up card magic. He moves among guests and works with small groups, using cards and everyday objects in his performances. His experience includes private parties, corporate functions, venues and festivals in Australia and overseas, with stage options also available.
The show
Close-up is where Jon Madd lives. He moves through your guests and works a handful of people at a time, which means the trick happens at arm's length with nothing between you and his hands. Cards are the strong suit, but he'll pick up a beer bottle, a rubber band, a ring or a balloon and do something with that instead. More than ten years of venues, functions and festivals here and overseas has shaped the way he presents it. And it does the ice-breaking job faster than almost anything else you could put in a room.
On the day
Roving is the default and it asks for nothing. No stage, no rig, no dedicated area. He'll happily work tables instead if that suits how your room is laid out. If you're after a stage show at a bigger event, the performance gets built for the room, so the requirements shift with it and are worth sorting out at enquiry.
