About
Perth Latin Band-1 is a Latin band for hire in Perth, WA.
Four years on the Perth scene and a salsa set list built rather than borrowed. This ensemble draws on the traditional music of Colombia's Caribbean coast, the 1970s golden era of salsa in New York and Puerto Rico, the all-time greats out of Havana and the romantic classics from Venezuela. Expect material by Tito Puente, Ray Barretto, Oscar De Leon, Joe Arroyo, Cheo Feliciano, El Gran Combo de Puerto Rico and Grupo Niche, plus Latin jazz such as Dizzy Gillespie's Manteca and Chucho Valdes doing Mambo Influenciado. Live is where it lands. Available for private functions, weddings, corporate events, themed nights, birthdays and venue bookings.
