About
Ben Russell from Empowerment-Ed is a keynote speaker for hire in Brisbane, QLD.
Ben Russell runs Empowerment-Ed, and his keynotes land on four things: healthy and respectful relationships, leadership capacity, self-improvement, and shifting the culture of an organisation. Schools and workplaces across Australia bring him in. His approach leans personal and experiential rather than slide-heavy, pairing research with what he's actually seen work, and the aim is honest reflection plus tools people can use on Monday. Formats run from short keynotes through half-day workshops to full facilitated days and PD masterclasses. He's a fully registered Queensland teacher, ACER wellbeing verified, and carries public liability and indemnity insurance. A microphone is the main requirement, with AV useful.
The show
Ben Russell works as an educator and facilitator as well as a speaker, and that shows in the room. Sessions are built to shift how people think about relationships, digital life, leadership and belonging, and they lean on honest reflection rather than a slide deck read aloud. He draws on research and on what he's watched actually work in schools and organisations. You get strategies your staff or students can put to use the following morning, not a motivational glow that fades by lunch. Schools, workplaces and community groups around the country have had him in. If you want people talking to each other afterwards, that's the point of it.
Performance options
The length is the main decision. A short keynote suits an assembly or a conference slot where you need one clear message delivered well. A half day workshop gives the group time to work through the material properly. Full facilitated days go further again, useful when a whole staff or year level is involved. There are PD masterclasses for teachers, and small group workshops shaped around whatever your organisation is actually wrestling with. Tell Ben the audience and the outcome you're after and he'll suggest which one fits.
