About
Aliah Banchik is a keynote speaker for hire in Sydney, NSW.
Shark research and neurodiversity advocacy don't often share a stage, but they do with Aliah Banchik. She's a marine scientist, TEDx speaker and cast member of the Netflix series All the Sharks, and she speaks from lived experience of ADHD and dyslexia. Her talks take the stigma out of thinking differently, treating it as a strength rather than a setback, with plenty of humour and real stories from underwater fieldwork along the way. Schools, workplaces and science events are her natural habitat, and topics stretch across neurodiversity, inclusive thinking and shark science itself. Sessions run as keynotes, school talks or panels, in person or virtually.

The show
Aliah speaks from lived experience rather than a slide deck of theory, and she's funny with it. The mix is unusual: the critical thinking of a working marine scientist alongside honest storytelling about being someone who thinks differently. Talks cover neurodiversity, shark science and inclusive thinking, and they're built to shift how a room sees difference rather than just describe it. Audiences tend to leave energised and a bit more connected to what makes them themselves.
Performance options
Aliah adapts the format to the audience. Primary and high school talks are pitched for younger listeners; university sessions and youth summits run longer and go deeper. She also takes festival slots and professional panels, and works corporate and government events. A straight keynote can be extended with a Q&A, or she'll MC, or she'll build a talk around a specific theme you're running with. Where getting her into the room isn't practical, the same sessions are delivered virtually.
