About
Nichaud Fitzgibbon is a jazz singer for hire in Melbourne, VIC.
Jazz standards are at the heart of Nichaud Fitzgibbon's repertoire, including songs by Cole Porter, Richard Rodgers and Hoagy Carmichael. The Melbourne vocalist grew up around the music of the 1920s and 1930s at her father's jazz club, Smacka's Place. Her own performances draw on that musical background while giving the songs individual arrangements and phrasing. Recordings such as Deep in the Night reflect a career centred on interpreting the vocal jazz catalogue.
