About

Fiona Parke & the Cool Cats is a jazz band for hire in Brisbane, QLD.

The show

A quartet fronted by Fiona Parke, working through jazz standards alongside pop and soul. The mix moves around a lot: ballads one moment, something uptempo the next, and plenty in between. What's genuinely useful is that they'll shape the list to your taste before the night. Want jazz standards only? That's fine. Only the pop and soul side? Also fine. Most people go for a mix and let the band judge the pacing. Fiona has sung at a great many weddings, and the ensemble is comfortable across both the ceremony and the reception, keeping the room warm without ever taking it over.

On the day

Professional sound equipment comes with the band and there's no extra charge for using it. They're used to fitting into awkward corners and can adjust their setup to suit most spaces, so a tight restaurant floor and a proper function room both work.

Performance options

Line-up is a quartet: Fiona on lead vocals, then either piano or guitar, plus bass and drums. Their own professional sound gear comes with it at no extra cost, so there's nothing to hire in on your end.
