Deb Macintyre Jazz is a jazz band for hire in Perth, WA.
Deb Macintyre has been a fixture of the Perth jazz scene for years, with a repertoire that swings from earthy blues ballads to cosmopolitan swing and funky jazz melodies. Ella Fitzgerald, Anita O'Day, Billie Holiday, Etta James, Carmen McRae, Sarah Vaughan, Betty Carter and Dinah Washington are all in there, and a gospel background gives the standards a soulful lean. Recent sets have added Burt Bacharach, The Carpenters, James Taylor, Aretha Franklin and Stevie Wonder. The Deb Macintyre Combo has played the City of Perth Food and Wine Festival, the Fremantle Arts Festival, His Majesty's Theatre and Government House, along with weddings, gallery openings, Melbourne Cup lunches and New Year's Eve. Members are current and graduated WAAPA students and teachers, and the group books as a duo, trio, quartet or quintet.

Everything went very well. Both Deb and the piano player (whose name escapes me at the moment!) were lovely to work with and enjoyable to listen to.
