About
Stephen Yarwood - Urban Futurist is an innovation speaker for hire in Adelaide, SA.
Cities, technology and where the two collide. Stephen Yarwood speaks on artificial intelligence and what it does to communities and to the organisations inside them, drawing on practical work across mega projects in the Middle East and advisory roles for cities, states, national governments and global companies. The specialist ground is the relationship between technology, infrastructure, resources, society and urbanism, which sounds academic until you hear it applied to a room full of people planning a decade ahead. Adelaide-based, and works as a podcaster, writer, adviser, trainer and facilitator as well as a keynote speaker. Good fit for conferences on innovation, change, the future of work and leadership.

The show
Stephen speaks about where technology, infrastructure, resources, society and urbanism meet, and he is regarded internationally as a specialist in exactly that. What keeps it from turning academic is the practical work underneath it: mega projects in the Middle East, plus advisory roles with cities, states, national governments and global companies. Delivery is lively and built to provoke a bit of thought rather than nod-along agreement. Alongside the keynote work he is a podcaster, writer, adviser, trainer and facilitator, which shows in how comfortably he handles a room.
