About
Halo hoops and skates is a hula hoop act for hire in Melbourne, VIC.
Hayley skates and she spins hoops, often at the same time. She's been performing and teaching on both for years across just about every theme you could name, and she also works as a dancer, choreographer, teacher and workshop facilitator. The other strings include bubbles, kids parties, hens parties, roller cowgirl line dancing, silk fans and music video work. Roving is easy to accommodate since she can skate on asphalt. For a proper skate performance she needs a suitable floor. Based in Melbourne, with her own insurance and a working with children check.
On the day
Roving is the easy one. Hayley can skate on asphalt, so a driveway, a courtyard or a sealed path works fine and you don't need to prepare anything. A proper skate performance is different. That needs a surface built for it: smooth, flat and hard, with room to actually move rather than shuffle on the spot. Tell her which of the two you're after when you enquire and she'll say straight away whether your space suits.
Performance options
It depends what the day needs. Roving is the lighter option, with Hayley moving through the crowd on skates or spinning hoops as people arrive and mingle. Step up from that and you get a set performance, or a workshop where guests get taught the hoops themselves rather than just watching. Bubbles, silk fans and the roller cowgirl line dancing can all come into it. She'll shape the mix around your theme.
