About
Misty Elliss is a folk singer for hire in Secret Harbour, WA.
Laidback folk, blues and pop from a singer and acoustic guitarist based at Secret Harbour, south of Perth. The covers run through Tracy Chapman, Paul Kelly, Crowded House and Nick Cave, then swing into the bigger voiced material by Sia, Cyndi Lauper, Madonna and Dua Lipa. Aussie classics are their own set: Hunters & Collectors, Missy Higgins, Xavier Rudd. Misty will build the song list around what the organiser actually wants, relaxed or a bit more upbeat depending on the occasion. All equipment provided, with powered and non-powered options. Holds busking permits for Fremantle, Perth and the City of Rockingham.
Watch
The show
The mood is yours to set. Ask for relaxed and you'll get folk, blues and the softer end of the pop material sitting under the conversation. Ask for a lift and the set climbs. Misty works out which one you're after before the day rather than guessing on arrival, and the song choices follow from that. It's one voice and an acoustic guitar, so it never overwhelms a room, but there's enough in the repertoire to carry a longer afternoon without circling back on itself.
On the day
Everything comes with her. Guitar, amplification, the lot. And if your spot has no power at all, say so when you enquire, because Misty runs a non-powered option as well as a powered one. That covers a garden ceremony, a beach, a stretch of park with nothing but grass and a couple of chairs.
