About
The Woodland Fairy is a fairy costume character for hire in Penrith, NSW.
Laurana makes every costume and character herself, by hand, which is not something most children's entertainers can say. The Woodland Fairy brings face painting, glitter tattoos, balloon creations, fairy stories, games and a bubble machine, and you pick which of those you want. Tell her how many children are coming and she'll work out how long the booking needs to be. She covers Penrith, the Blue Mountains, the Hawkesbury and Macarthur, and will travel further into Sydney. The one thing she asks is a safe spot with full shelter from rain and proper protection from heat or cold. Insured, with a current working with children check.
The show
Face painting, glitter tattoos, balloon creations, games, fairy stories and a bubble machine, and the costume and character are original and made by hand by Laurana herself. Booking is straightforward: pick the activities you want, say how many children you're expecting, and she'll tell you how long the booking needs to be to cover them properly.
On the day
A safe spot to work from is the one requirement, and it needs full shelter if it rains plus proper protection from heat or cold.
Performance options
Two popular options, both running two hours and both sized for groups of up to twenty children. The face painting booking suits children of three and up: detailed face and arm designs done with sparkles and stencils, plus the bubble machine and music running through the session. The balloon option works for any age, with designs twisted to order that will keep for about a week if they are looked after. Both include a personal gift for the birthday child, and near the end your fairy will gather everyone for Happy Birthday and a group photo if you would like that. Larger groups are covered by adding a second fairy so nobody misses out on a turn. Wanting something that sits outside those two? Laurana will put a booking together to match it.
