About
The Funky Fairy is a fairy costume character for hire in Canberra, ACT.
Face painting and glitter tattoos are the usual starting point, then there's balloon modelling, party games, discos, and candle and soap making workshops. The Funky Fairy works across Canberra, from a birthday party in a backyard to roving at a large public event or corporate day, and the adults tend to get involved as much as the kids do. All materials come along, and a marquee, folding table and chairs can be supplied if you need them. Face painting needs roughly 2m by 3m and access to water. Every host holds public liability insurance and a working with children check.
The show
The Funky Fairy covers face painting, glitter tattoos, balloon twisting, craft, games, and candle and soap making workshops, and the mix gets picked to suit the booking. Small private parties are handled the same way as large public events. Adults tend to get drawn in alongside the children, which is usually the sign it's going well. Birthday party in a backyard or a corporate day with a few hundred people through: either works.
On the day
Every material comes along with her. A marquee, folding table and chairs can also be provided if your site hasn't got any. For face painting and glitter tattoos, put aside roughly 2m by 3m and make sure there's water she can get to.
