Eco Faeries is a fairy costume character for hire in Perth, WA.
The Eco Faeries have sold out Fringe seasons three years running and taken their shows overseas, but the day-to-day work is councils, schools, libraries, shopping centres, day care centres and parties across WA. The theatrics are silly on purpose and the message underneath isn't. Original songs include Not Dirty It's Earthy, Worm Poo, Balloons Blow, Noongar Boodjar and No Excuse For Single Use. A booking can take in roving faeries blowing bubbles through your crowd, a live stage show, a meet and greet, or the craft marquee with nature play activities, letters to the faeries, and up to 50 hula hoops made from recycled retic pipe. The stage show needs two channels for their own headset mics and an input for backing tracks. The team hold working with children checks and public liability insurance.

The show
Silly on the surface, serious underneath. The theatrics are deliberately daft, but the team behind them are trained and they treat the job properly, and the whole point is sending kids home thinking a bit differently about the world around them. Every performance, workshop and craft activity has that educational thread running through it. The regular bookings tell you who this suits: local councils, schools, libraries, shopping centres, day care centres, event organisers and plenty of straightforward kids' parties across WA. Long-standing relationships with local business and government organisations sit behind that.
On the day
For the stage show, the Eco Faeries bring their own two radio headset microphones. What they need from your end is two channels to run those through, plus an input so the backing track music can play out of a laptop.
Performance options
The showcase package runs 30 minutes of roving, a 40 minute live stage show, then 20 minutes of meet and greet once the show finishes. The craft marquee is its own thing, more of an activity and education centre than a stall: you pick the activities from a list of nature play and recycled craft options, there's a spot for children to write and send letters to the faeries, up to 50 hula hoops made from recycled retic pipe, faerie helpers on hand, and a lot of bubbles. Roving faeries come as a pair and simply wander your event, sharing wishes, blowing bubbles and posing with whoever wants a photo. No wishing dust anymore, because it's plastic and it stays behind. Instead each child over three gets a tiny wooden ladybird to keep. And nothing else is left behind except the memory of it.
