About
Jen Biscoe is an event services business for hire in Goolwa, SA.
Oils on linen canvas, painted on location, while your ceremony or first dance is actually happening. Jen Biscoe works from years of portrait painting, and she sets up half an hour before the ceremony without needing much room, indoors or undercover for preference. Guests tend to drift over and watch the picture build through the celebration. Afterwards the canvas goes back to the studio for the detailed finishing work, so what arrives at your door is properly resolved rather than a rushed sketch. Sizes run from 40 by 50 centimetres up to 60 by 80. Travel within 100 kilometres of Goolwa is included, and regional or destination weddings can be worked out.
Watch
The show
Jen paints in oils, on location, while the ceremony or first dance is happening in front of her. Not from a photo afterwards. Guests get something to look at between the formal bits, and a lot of them will drift over to see how much of the scene has appeared. The canvas is linen and the paints are professional grade, which matters for something meant to hang on a wall for decades. Afterwards it goes back to the studio for the detailed finishing work, so what you end up with is properly resolved rather than a quick sketch made under time pressure.
On the day
Inside or undercover for preference. She arrives half an hour before the ceremony to get set up, and she doesn't need much room, so she can usually tuck in wherever there's a clear view of the moment being painted. All equipment comes with her.
