Congakid

Latin conga playing is at the centre of Congakid's performance. Based on the Gold Coast, the percussionist brings experience from restaurant bands, touring work and collaborations with musicians overseas. That history includes playing in Japan and Hawaii as well as cruise ship engagements. Formal music studies sit alongside years of practical ensemble work. The congas provide the main musical voice, drawing on a background shaped by rhythm sections and live Latin music.
