About
The Iconic JFR is a drag performer for hire in Sydney, NSW.
June Richards works Sydney rooms as a singer, host and impressionist rolled into one, and the voices are half the fun: Kermit, Miss Piggy, Julia Gillard, Kim from Kath and Kim, Eddie from Absolutely Fabulous. The song side leans on drag anthems, crooner standards and comedy numbers, with pop when the floor wants it. Bookings run across hens parties, birthdays, weddings, Pride events, corporate nights, plus bingo, music bingo, trivia and painting classes for something a bit different. Music, microphones and a speaker system come along. And the whole act bends to the room rather than the other way round.
The show
Laughter, dancing, singing and a good deal of glamour. June has the professional polish to carry any room and shifts approach depending on what's in front of her, so a hens party and a corporate night both get something that fits. Tell her what you're after and she'll work to it.
On the day
June brings music, microphones and her own speaker system, so a venue with nothing of its own is fine. Certain event formats, karaoke being the obvious one, sit outside that standard arrangement, so mention it when you enquire and she'll set expectations up front.
What they perform
Drag Queen Anthems, Comedic songs, Pop- Hits, Crooner and American Standards and many more!
