About
Archie Absinthe is a drag performer for hire in Melbourne, VIC.
A glamorous court jester in drag, equal parts elegant and eerie. Archie Absinthe blends gender fluidity, clowning and circus into one act, moving from graceful silk fan routines to spooky camp numbers, usually set to 80s or alternative songs. The whole thing carries a medieval theatre backstory played completely straight, which is half the fun. Requests are welcome, and Archie arrives self-contained with props in hand, so there's nothing to set up. Suits festivals, parties and any event that wants something genuinely different in the room.
