Abril LaTrene

You're booking a host as much as a performer. She reads the room and adjusts as she goes, so a crowd that's ready to go from the first song gets one show and a mixed work function that needs warming up gets another. A booking can hold lip-sync numbers, interactive games like trivia or bingo, crowd participation and a lot of humour. Guests get brought into it without being put on the spot, which is a harder line to walk than it sounds. If MC or hosting work is part of the deal, expect clean transitions, clear communication and someone quietly keeping the night to time while still looking relaxed. Sound and a microphone can be provided, or she'll plug into the venue system.

Setup is deliberately low fuss. She needs a small, safe performance area with enough room to move and interact with guests. A standard power point is preferred if she's bringing full sound and lighting, though she can adapt to most spaces. Her own PA, microphone and music setup can come along, or she'll use the venue's system. A private room isn't always necessary, but a bathroom or small nearby space for quick touch-ups and costume changes helps. Easy access for bump in and bump out, plus parking close by, keeps everything on time.

Bookings cover hens parties, Drag Bingo with performances and prizes either in person or virtual, emceeing, Drag Trivia, weddings, Christmas parties and corporate activations. Custom packages get built around your event style and audience. Everything is tailored to the size of the event, the location and what you need on the day.
