About
Tong 桐 is a DJ for hire in Melbourne, VIC.
House, disco, techno and soul, played for bodies, intimacy and release. Tong 桐 (he/they) is a queer Chinese DJ working out of Naarm. Beijing's underground scene shaped the way he plays, and Honey Dijon and Derrick Carter are the touchstones. There's real care taken to honour the Black and queer roots of dance music while looking at them through his own diasporic lens. Thoughtful, and it never gets in the way of the dancing.
