About
Shanita Vice is a DJ for hire.
Vinyl only, and the crates go deep. Shanita Vice came up through New Zealand's 90s rave scene and is now a sought after selector in Geelong, building journey sets around feel rather than genre. Disco, funk, soul, boogie, R&B, 80s pop and club sounds flow into early rap, new wave and electro without a jolt. She's on regular rotation at Melbourne's hi-fi listening bars LB's and Bar Selecta, which is a room type that exposes a bad selector immediately. Her enthusiasm for feel good music is the thing people mention most, and it's catching.
