About
Radio Active is a DJ for hire in Greensborough, VIC.
Thirty five years of mobile DJ work around Melbourne's north, and the library has grown to more than 20,000 songs. Radio Active Mobile Disco covers sixties rock and roll, seventies and eighties classics, nineties anthems and current top 40, with quiet jazz for the parts of the night when nobody's dancing yet. You can pre pick as many songs as you like or hand the whole night over. MC duties are included, so introductions and announcements don't need a separate booking. Audio, speakers, LED and UV lighting, a smoke machine where the venue allows one, and cordless mics all come along. Needs about two metres by one and a half near the dance floor and one power point. Based in Greensborough.
Watch
The show
You handle the guests, the food and the drinks. The music is his problem, and he's happy to have it. Expect popular songs people know and will get up for, with the styles adjusted as the night moves. Pre-pick as many tracks as you want, or none at all and leave the lot to him. MC duties are included in the booking, so the introductions and announcements are covered and you don't need to organise a separate person for them.
On the day
The audio gear, speakers, LED, RGB and UV lighting, cordless microphones and a smoke machine where the venue allows one all arrive with him. From you, about two metres wide by one and a half deep, ideally in front of or close to the dance floor, and a single power point nearby. Somewhere to park matters too, along with a meal and a drink across the night.
Performance options
The standard booking is a four hour block, and hours can be added on if the night runs long. Travel of up to an hour to the venue is part of the standard arrangement, and further afield can be sorted, so say where the venue is when you enquire.
