About
Noah Stott is a DJ for hire in Geelong, VIC.
The show
Noah works out the soundtrack with you first, so the night runs on tracks you've picked rather than a stock wedding list. Every song is mixed live as it goes. Announcements are handled clearly, which sounds minor until you've watched a room miss the cake cut because nobody said anything. The gear is proper: speakers, turntables, mixer and a wireless mic. And the aim across the whole night is uncomplicated, which is to get people up and keep them there.
On the day
Two standard power outlets within ten metres of where he'll be, and a floor area of roughly 3m by 2m for speakers, turntables and mixer. He'll also want a sturdy waist-height table or a DJ booth to work on. Outdoors, the setup spot needs to be covered and stable so the gear stays dry. Easy access for loading in and parking nearby saves a lot of time at both ends of the night.
