About
Newcastle & Lake Mac DJ's is a DJ act for hire in Newcastle, NSW.
Not one DJ but a small team of them, working across Newcastle and Lake Macquarie. That matters more than it sounds: an elegant wedding and a rowdy dance party want different people behind the decks, and this lot can put the right one in front of you. Open format, so no genre is off the table. Before the day you fill out a music preference sheet covering what you want early, what you want late, and what you never want to hear, and your DJ builds from that plus whatever guests ask for on the night, if you allow requests. First dance songs can be pre-mixed. The sound and lighting gear is proper, they'll adapt to any size room, and they can run fully off battery power if you need it.
The show
This is a small team rather than one person, and it matters more than it sounds. An elegant wedding and a loud dance party want different people behind the decks, and they can put the right one in front of you. Open format, so nothing is ruled out by genre. Your DJ listens to what you actually want instead of running a set they've run fifty times, and the sound and lighting gear is the good stuff. Weddings, corporate nights, parties and club sets all sit inside what they do.
On the day
They adapt to whatever space you've got, big room or small corner. If power is awkward where you want them, they can run a fully battery powered setup on request, which opens up gardens, beaches and anywhere else the nearest outlet is a long way off. Worth mentioning when you enquire so they bring the right rig.
Performance options
Before the day you fill in a music preference sheet: what you want early, what you want once the floor fills, and the songs you never want to hear. Your DJ builds from that. Guest requests on the night get worked in too, if you want requests allowed at all. First dance songs can be pre mixed so the edit lands exactly where you need it.
